Sales Manager – Business to Business Sales


We are looking for a high-performing Sales Manager to help drive our client’s revenue, sales volume and gross profit. You will be responsible for maximizing our sales team potential by overseeing, developing and coaching a (primarily outside) sales team, setting sales goals, creating sales plans, analyzing data, assigning sales territories and keeping our company competitive and innovative.


  • Oversee and coordinate the sales team activities
  • Establish sales territories and goals for the sales team to achieve overall company goals
  • Analyze sales results and trends to identify areas of improvement
  • Report on team and individual performance internally and to suppliers
  • Develop and execute innovative sales strategies in collaboration with marketing and management
  • Build and form partnerships with existing and potential clients
  • Regular coaching, pipeline management, and ride along meetings with each salesperson
  • Ensure new business meets company standards of profitability
  • Continuous learning on industries we serve and products we provide, including formal and informal learning opportunities
  • Rolling out and change management of new internal and supplier programs
  • Assist sales reps with pricing, win strategy, and next steps on specific opportunities
  • Attend industry events for ongoing networking and learning opportunities
  • Identify delivery and billing issues and report internally


  • Previous experience in sales, customer service, or related field
  • Experience as a supervisor or manager
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
  • Tech savvy and competent in general computer applications
  • Strong leadership and organization skills
  • Strong phone, email and in-person communication skills
  • Ability to build rapport with sales team, clients and suppliers
  • Experience in industries we serve and/or products we provide is a plus
  • Prior relationships with purchase influencers in industries we serve is a plus
  • Oil, agriculture, fuel or transportation experience a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree
